Modesto Scout Service Center

From the fertile agricultural land of California's great central valley, to the soaring peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountains, and the world renowned grandeur of Yosemite National Park the Greater Yosemite Council (GYC) in Modesto, CA serves 17,000 youth in our council. The character developing programs of Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Varsity Scouting, and Venturing are provided in partnership with the Boy Scouts of America.

The Greater Yosemite Council serves the following Central California counties: Calaveras, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Tuolumne, and parts of Sacramento. The Greater Yosemite Council is divided into 7 administrative districts, covering the areas shown in the map. The districts are:
