The Greater Yosemite Council
Wants
You
To serve as a Unit Commissioner!
Unit Commissioners are experienced district volunteers who coach and consult with the adult leaders of every S couting unit. Commissioners help maintain the standards of the Boy Scouts of America. They also oversee the unit charter renewal plan so that each unit reregisters on time with an optimum number of youth and adult members. This will become especially import this year as we convert our recharter process to the new Internet Recharter process being provided by the B.S.A. The Unit Commissioner plays several roles, including friend, representative, unit "doctor," teacher, and counselor. Every pack, troop, team and crew should by contacted monthly by its Commissioner. Has your unit taken advantage of the expertise and experience offered by a Unit Commissioner recently? For more information, contact your District Commissioner.
Additional information about commissioner service is available on the BSA National Web Site.

College of Commissioner Service 2010
The Greater Yosemite Council will host Commissioner College in late summer or fall of 2010. The event will include several other Central Valley BSA councils. The location is tentatively scheduled in Stockton with dates to be announced. This will be an excellent opportunity for all GYC Commissioners to hone their skills in an intensive one day event.
Plan now to attend.
